The Bionic Beauty Salon

As part of its Bionic Man/Bionic Woman toy line, Kenner introduced the Bionic Beauty Salon playset in 1976.

This was an ad for the playset that ran in comic books of the time.

ReAction Planet of the Apes Statue of Liberty Action Playset

System7 was selling these amazing looking Planet of the Apes playsets at SDCC 2018. These really do an excellent job of capturing the goofy photos and box text from the Kenner playsets (“Explore real Forbidden Zone Adventures”!!)

Figures Toy Co. Batcave Playset for Retro Figures

Figures Toy CO. is making this retro-style Batman 1966 Playset, featuring a Bat Signal, Bat-computer and Batpole. It is nice to see playsets like this available again, though lets face it, this is mostly going to be bought and played with by 45+ year-old men, not kids like the one in the picture here who is probably thinking “please don’t make me play with 1970s-inspired toys ever again.”

Imaginext Hall of Doom Playset

This Hall of Doom playset is part of the Imaginext line of toys which is geared toward very young children. This is actually kind of cool, but it is a shame this is the only Hall of Doom Playset that has ever been officially produced, and the only one that is ever likely to see the light of day.
