This Batman-themed Galaxy S7 Edge is the only time I’ve ever been tempted to buy one of these pop culture-branded variants of a smart phone. Fortunately, it looks doubtful that this will make it to the US (last year’s Iron Man-themed S6 Edge was only available in Hong Kong, China and South Korea, and it looks like this phone will have a similarly limited release).
Something just appeals to me about this black and white statue line. Here we have Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne incarnations of Robin.
Following up it’s life size foam replica of Arkham Knight’s Batman, NECA is also releasing a life size foam replica of the Arkham Knight incarnation of Harley Quinn. The Harley Quinn replica stands 5′ 11″ and is “carefully handpainted for realistic detail, down to the tattoos on her arm and hip” as well as synthetic hair, and retails for just under $900.
Some parts of Glen Weldon’s Talks at Google on Batman really grate–Weldon never actually gets around to the “rise of nerd culture” part 0f the talk. But it is an idiosyncratic 20,000-feet level history of the character for people who are not already Batman freaks.
These Previews Exclusive DC Heroes Statue Paperweights are 8″ tall and made from resin. Presumably, the base is weighted. The Wonder Woman statue looks nice, but the Batman and Superman paperweights have goofy looking sculpts. WTF kind of face is Batman making there? Is he in desperate need of a visit to the Bat Bathroom?
