DC Comics Cover Girls – Black Canary Statue
Apparently DC has a series of “Cover Girls” statues. This Black Canary statue is ok, I guess, but I absolutely hate that costume.
DC Comics Black Canary Bishoujo Statue From Kotobukiya
Not my thing, but this is certainly one of the better Kotobukiya bishoujo statues of DC characters.
DC Bombshells Prints
I’m not a big fan of DC’s Bombshells series of statues that depicts female DC characters as if they were 1940s-era pinups, but I think the 18″ x 24″ prints below based on that work much better than the statues did.
DC Comics Bombshells Statue: Black Canary
Wow…DC Collectibles managed to come up with a concept for one of its Bombshells statues series that doesn’t suck. This Black Canary statue is fairly clever, tasetful and not as godawful ugly as the previous entries in the series have been.
Black Canary Barbie
Ah yes, the Black Canary Barbie scheduled to hit stores this Fall, along with a Catwoman, Supergirl, Poison Ivy, Batgirl and Wonder Woman Barbie. I’ve actually got quite a few of the previous releases of DC-related Barbies. The problem is my kids tease me to no end about these — the reliable “they’re not dolls, they’re action figures” defense goes out the window when “Barbie” is stamped prominently on the packaging.
What I really want to know is why there’s no Green Arrow Ken to go along with this.
