MAX Factory claims these Tetsuya Naito plastic model kits are based on “a detailed 3D scan with over 100 cameras” of the professional wrestler. Those scans were then converted to a mold and sculpted.
Um, ok. I’m not sure why, then, they’d use that for a couple 1/20 scale plastic model kits where obviously a lot of detail is apparently lost based on the scale. Or perhaps the “3D scans” in question are relatively low quality.
It is interesting to compare, for example, the details in Naito’s boots compared to the lack of detail in Naito’s torso and upper body.
