Earth Liberation Prisoners Support Network: Two Dead Hunters Is Good News

The Earth Liberation Prisoners Support Network is a European-based organization that provides support for activists convicted of acts of animal rights and environmentalist extremism. It uses as a contact e-mail address, the Hotmail account [email protected].

Today, someone using that account posted a message to a Yahoo! Groups list devoted to hunt saboteuring. The full text of that message, which can be read here, said:

Date: Tue Oct 11, 2005 3:16 pm
Subject: 2 hunters killed in 2 days
In the last two days two hunters, in Sweden, have been shot dead by other
hunters.

Who said there isn’t any good news any more!

Animal rights compassion at its most bluntly honest.

Even Chris Pirillo Needs a Refuge From LockerGnome

Apparently, LockerGnome is so unusable — what with the average 20 ads per sentence of content — that Chris Pirillo has taken the extraordinary step of launching a gimmicky meta-search engine just so he can find things without be distracted by the bajillion ads that appear on every LockerGnome page.

Pirillo spins his usual bullshit describing the service as,

Of course the reality is that it is just another chance for Pirillo to whore himself out to net scum like SeekItAll (all the dozen or so searches I tried at gada.be turned up results near the top for SeekItAll).

Pure Pwnage

Pure Pwnage is a hilarious online episodic video program simultaneously lampooning and celebrating the extremes of geek game culture. Episode 3, “FPS Doug” had me laughing uncontrollably — I’ll never be able to hear the term “headshot” again not think of FPS Doug. And the climactic battle of Episode 4, “Pwn or Be Pwned” is one of the coolest things on video I’ve seen since that Grayson trailer. Don’t be a n00b — get downloading.
