People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has been publicly harassing supermodel Gisele Bundchen ever since she agreed to model BlackGlama fur in 2002. In an interview with Vanity Fair published in September, the model said her decision was a mistake and that she feared for her safety from animal rights activists.
Gisele told Vanity Fair,
I thought they were going to hurt me. It was a bad decision on my part, because I don’t wear fur and I understand their cause. I am the biggest animal lover in the world. i have four dogs and two horses, and I have rescued animals all my life.
Bundchen claims she wrote a letter of apology to PETA, but PETA claims they never received such a letter from her.
