Just another nerd.
Art by Frank Cho, with sculpture by Jon Matthews.
DC Cover Girls statue version of Poison Ivy, based on art by Frank Cho and sculpted by Jonathan Matthews.
This is a much better Harley Quinn design than Frank Cho’s first attempt with the character as part of the DC Cover Girls line. The suclptor here is Jonathan Matthews.
The promotional material for this DC Cover Girls statue by Frank Chosays “Cho’s clever take on Barbara Gordon gives a touch of humor to the piece.”
I am not one of those people who reflexively hates everything Cho does, but this is an ugly statue. Unfortunately, it looks like Cho is going to be doing art for future DC Cover Girls statues.
Ok, I get that this is supposed to be Frank Cho re-imagining the classic “some days you just can’t get rid of a bomb” scene from the 1966 Batman film, but I still don’t think this works very well, especially for Harley Quinn’s character.
