Anti-HLS Activists Send Out Hundreds of Defamatory Letters

The Comet Online reports that anti-Huntingdon Life Sciences activists recently sent out hundreds of defamatory letters to the neighbors and associates of an HLS director and three Dupont directors.

The letters accuse the targeted directors of being active pedophiles, and hundred of copies have been mailed by activists over the past couple months.

The Comet Online quoted the HLS director, who asked that his name not be printed, as saying,

These people have been targeting me for three years. There have been physical attacks and there were 180 people outside my home at one stage. I’m angry that these activists can continue to break the law and can continue to harass people in their homes.

These letters are the products of some very sick minds. I can only imagine that the activists’ objective is to alienate and embarrass their targets in their local area.

My friends and neighbors have been extremely supportive, they think the activists’ tactics are disgusting. It isn’t me this will affect it’s my family and kids. How do they go back to school now — what’s going to be said to them?

A police spokesperson told The Comet Online, “There is no truth in the content of these letters. We are actively investigating these offences and will take appropriate action when we identify those involved.”

Of course, lets not forget that while the claim that HLS or Dupont directors are pedophiles is false, the same can’t be said about anti-HLS activists. Perhaps the SHAC-type simply miss Robert Moaby!
