We’re finally starting to get decent Internet speeds around here. I was on the phone with my cable provider, Charter Communications, the other day and at the end of the phone call the friendly customer service representative asked me if there was anything else she could do for me. I replied, “Yeah, you could tell me when you’re going to upgrade your Internet package above 3 meg.”
She informs me that I can now get 5 meg down and 512k up in my area for an additional $11/month. Took about half a second to make that decision.
That is still not nearly fast enough, but it is a start. Give me 20 meg down and at least 10 meg up and maybe I’ll be satisfied.
