I’m Killing Myself, Not Resigning You Morons

I can’t help but laugh at this one. Already on leave from his job as an insurance executive, Richard M. Young threatened to kill himself at a mall, and held police at bay for 6 hours with a gun before surrending peacefully. The company he worked for, Ohio Casualty, notified him a few days later that they had terminated him, saying that they interpreted the suicide note he had left at work as a resignation.

He, in turn, is suing the company, saying that by firing him after he went nuts in the mall, the company was committing an act of discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
