Do weighted blankets actually help decrease anxiety and/or improve sleeping?
As a recent article from the Cleveland Clinic notes, the available studies of weighted blankets are too small and have too many limitations to reach scientific conclusions at this point.
I bought a 15-pound weighted blanket last year, and I view it the same way I view my standing desk. Personally, I enjoy sleeping with a weighted blanket–before I had one, I would typically sleep with multiple comforters to get the same effect.
But I’m skeptical of many of the claims I see on Internet forums about their ability to cure sleep disorders.
