Pisue Samutr Statue at Puek Tian Beach, Thailand

This is an approximately 20-foot tall statue of Pisue Samutr at Puek Tian Beach in western Thailand.

The figure is of the female ogress, Pisue Samutr, from Phra Apai Mani, a 19th-century epic poem by Thai pet Sunthorn Phu.

In the poem, Pisue Samtur falls in love with and deceives a prince into marrying her.

This statue is one of several figures of characters from Phra Apai Mani at Puek Tian Beach.
