The Pioneer Plaque Kickstarter is one of the more interesting projects I’ve run across on Kickstarter. It’s already over (successfully funded!), but Duane King used the platform to raise money to create replicas of the plaque that accompanied Pioneer 10 when it was launched on March 3, 1972.
Today, there are only three plaques in the universe, two of which are billions of kilometers away from our planet, while the third is in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
Now, I’m bringing the plaque back to Earth.
