Lock Laces are elastic, no tie shoelaces that solve one of those problems you didn’t even realize you had–wasting time to tie your shoes.
As the image below illustrates, with Lock Laces you replace the existing laces in shoes with an elastic lace. The lace then gets threaded through the round locking mechanism and tightened to whatever the user finds comfortable.
Then the lace is cut and a small rectangular mechanism attached and locked into the ends.
When you’re done what you have is a shoe that comfortably slips on and off without needing to be tied, and yet feels as tight and secure as well-tied shoes.
My shoes are constantly coming untied (I suck at knots) and the laces get frayed/worn out. As soon as I heard of Lock Laces, I ordered a couple packs of them and installed them in a pair of shoes I use at work and a pair I use around the house.
And they’re awesome. Slipping on tennis shoes is easy without damaging the heel area, and yet they don’t feel loose at all.
They do run about $7 per pack, but each pack will lace a pair of shoes and appear to be high quality enough to last the life of the shoes.
