Employer Monitoring of Social Network Accounts

This Guardian article about how young people view efforts by employers to view their social networking accounts and activities is a bit terrifying,

A third of young people would be happy for their employer to have access to their social media profiles in return for job security, according to a report that claims such personal data monitoring will become more commonplace.

Seriously? I really hope that there’s a significant flaw in the survey used to arrive at that conclusion. For future reference, this is the proper response to the employers who want to monitor your social networking accounts.
