Broken Link Checker is a plugin for WordPress that will periodically check links in your blog posts and alert you in the Dashboard of links that no longer work. The frequency of link checking can be set by the user, and the plugin allows a range of options for the admin to deal with the broken links, from ignoring them to removing them and a number of intermediate steps.

I was looking for a plugin that did link checking without having to be a full link exchange plugin. This will do nicely.
