Not sure when they started publishing these, for the past year or so I’ve noticed this interesting line of books from Marvel indexing particular series. The Amazing Spider-Man index below, for example, provides
synopses of every Spider-Man comic – including backup strips – introducing you to the characters, teams, places, and equipment that appeared within, providing vital informaton about all things Spider-Man!
I really wish DC would do something like this for their iconic characters. I would love to see a Green Lantern or Batman index along the same lines (I’m kinda meh on Marvel at the moment).
