PCWorld has a short review of Hitachi’s new 7400 RPM 400 gigabyte hard drive. It wasn’t too long ago that 250 gigabyte hard drives debuted at that price point.
Today a terabyte of consumer-level storage goes for about $700 and is falling fast. Once those 400 gigabyte hard drives hit the $300 mark, I’m going to have to think about buying one for this server.
