I understand that the EB-3 visa, I will need to do for years, I already read this on one of the forums. But I can’t understand what can take so long to approve? How much time is spent on each of the steps to obtain an EB-3 visa?
Do you know what the entire path to obtaining an EB-3 visa consists of? First, the employer submits a PERM labor certification, which usually takes about 17 months to process. Then comes the I – 140 petition, which now seems to have been reduced to a one-year wait.
I read this in an article about the EB-3 processing timeline explained on the eb3 work site. There are even cases where people spend only six months on this stage. Then the wait for the priority date to be current begins, and this usually takes about a year, maybe more. Later comes the consular processing or adjustment of status stage, which applicants usually handle in a couple of months.
