Hi! I am facing a problem with expanding my network and recently I was recommended to use PoE extenders from EnableIT. I have read a little about this device, but I still have questions. How do they even work over long distances, for example, if you need to transmit power and data over 150 meters or more? What should I pay attention to when installing? I have never used PoE extenders before and would like to hear from those who have already used them. Is it worth spending money on this device, or is there another way to solve the problem?

I had the same experience, I Compare PoE Extenders from EnableIT, and I can say that they generally met my expectations. But let’s go in order, so that it is clear what, how and why. In essence, PoE (Power over Ethernet) extenders are designed to transmit both data and power over a single cable, which greatly simplifies the connection of various devices – be it CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi access points or other devices that need power and data transmission. This is especially convenient if you do not want to lay additional power cables. Now, about the distances. Usually, the PoE standard assumes the transmission of data and power over distances of up to 100 meters (using a standard Cat5e or Cat6 cable). But in the case of extenders, for example, from EnableIT, this distance can be increased to 200 meters and even more. Of course, this depends on the quality of the cables and the conditions in which your network will operate. Extenders, as a rule, help stabilize the signal, increasing the distance without losing quality. I used these devices to extend a network at a site where we needed to extend the signal 150 meters to a security camera and the results were excellent.

I have also used PoE extenders from EnableIT and they really made my job a lot easier. I had a situation where I needed to extend power and signal over quite a long distance and standard solutions were not enough. I agree with the previous comment that it is important to monitor the quality of the cables because it can really affect the stability of the connection. And one more thing – PoE extenders are ideal for working with devices that require stable power, such as CCTV cameras. For example, we have such a system on site and using these extenders we were able to significantly improve the network configuration.

Network equipment setups rely on stable service just as much as the hardware itself—especially when location affects signal strength or data limits. That’s where mobile providers step in, but performance can vary depending on region or plan structure. Feedback on https://boost-mobile.pissedconsumer.com/review.html reflects different angles—users mention flexible pricing, but also bring up concerns about dropped service or delayed support. For setups where uptime matters, it helps to consider how consistent the provider is over time.
