Whenever we do family video calls, someone always wants the call on the TV so everyone can see without squeezing around a tiny phone screen. I’ve tried mirroring my iPhone a few times, and sometimes it’s great, but other times the audio cuts out or the video gets choppy if the Wi-Fi is busy. I’m curious if anyone here does this regularly and actually gets smooth results, or if it’s always a bit hit-or-miss depending on the setup.

We do this for every holiday! AirPlay is usually fine, but it can definitely be laggy if the Wi-Fi is acting up. I’ve started using a dedicated screen recorder/mirroring tool lately to stabilize things. It actually makes it much easier to record the calls for later too. If you ever want to save those memories, you can even untertitel automatisch erstellen with their editor to make family clips more accessible for the grandparents. It’s been way more reliable than standard mirroring.
