I have mostly used taxis and Uber in the past but was considering Lyft as an alternative. I would like to know how reliable it is during late-night rides and if drivers are generally professional. Has anyone here used Lyft regularly for commuting or travel?

In my own use, rides were punctual and vehicles clean, with app tracking working smoothly throughout trips. Occasionally there were surge fares, but nothing unreasonable. Those lyft reviews mirrored my experience: practical and safe for everyday transport needs without significant drawbacks.
