Mattel’s collector-oriented webstore, MattyCollector.com, is currently selling action figure stands for Justice League Unlimited and DC Universe Classics figures. Those JLU figures are especially a pain in the ass to display, so this is a nice addition. Both are available in 25-packs for $12 plus shipping.
Sideshow Collectibles is planning to release this limited edition Planet of the Apes Dr. Zaius statue in the second quarter of 2009. Very nice looking, but out of my league at almost $300.
Wham-O is selling this Snowball Blaster for about $30. The receptacle on the top lets you create three perfectly formed snowballs. Put them in the gun, pull the slingshot-style launcher back, and lob them up to 50 feet.
Master Replicas recently announced that it obtained a license to create Ghostbusters-based replicas.
Master Replicas is pleased to announce its forthcoming line of prop replicas based on Columbia Pictures’ hugely popular film franchise, Ghostbusters.

First up for the line are a limited edition 1:1 replica of the proton pack and ghost trap from the films.

When buying action figures I have two rules. First, I pretty much only buy superhero-related figures. But, secondly, I will pretty much buy anything if it is priced low enough on clearance. So when the local comic book shop decided to clearance almost all of their Star Trek figures at very low prices, I bought pretty much everything they had except for the Enterprise-related stuff.
So The other day they brought out this 30th anniversary Barbie and Ken Star Trek set in a slightly damaged box for $5.99, I was on that faster than you could say “Live long and prosper.”
