Stuck On Star Trek — Colorforms Nostalgia

Stuck on Star Trek (Amazon link) is a hardcover book featuring Star Trek backgrounds and “…”Kling-on” pieces.” In other words, they are to Colorforms what MegaBloks are to Lego.

Anyone else remember that Star Trek Colorforms Adventure Set? I remember being 7 or 8 years old and in some dirty, run down K-Mart my grandparents had taken me to and there was the Star Trek Colorforms set which, at the time, I thought might be the greatest toy ever made.

Stuck on Star Trek

Klingon Disruptor

This Klingon Disruptor from Diamond Toys is a nice companion to the various phasers and other lower-end Star Trek replicas the company has come out with the past few years. Personally, while I have a lot of Star Trek toys and replicas, Star Trek is something I’ve come to love to hate rather than just love over the years.

Star Trek Book of Opposites

Yes, this is a real book,

With the help of Kirk, Spock, and McCoy, you can teach children the meaning of happy and sad, open and closed, apart and together, and much more. With a hip, up-market design sensibility, The Star Trek Book of Opposites will make a great kitschy gift for Trekkies of all ages.

Oooh…opposite and a hip, up-market design sensibility…what’s not to love?
