In Which I Clean Up on Clearanced Star Trek Toys

When buying action figures I have two rules. First, I pretty much only buy superhero-related figures. But, secondly, I will pretty much buy anything if it is priced low enough on clearance. So when the local comic book shop decided to clearance almost all of their Star Trek figures at very low prices, I bought pretty much everything they had except for the Enterprise-related stuff.

So The other day they brought out this 30th anniversary Barbie and Ken Star Trek set in a slightly damaged box for $5.99, I was on that faster than you could say “Live long and prosper.”

Hasbro’s Marvel 3.75″ Figures

Not to be left out of the response to Mattel’s DC Infinite Heroes 3.75″ figures, Hasbro will be introducing a Marvel Universe series of 3.75″ figures sometime in Spring 2009.

Zabazoo’s Stonees

Zabazoo manufactures a building toy called Stonees — colorful rocks made from crushed stone. The rocks have flat surfaces so they can be easily stacked. A tub of 50 goes for about $20.

And they’re great for any sort of diorama scene (involving, say, action figures) that also requires rocks.

Hasbro’s Marvel Transformers

I was never much of a Transformers fan, but my soon-to-be 6-year old is begging to get these for his birthday. Yes, Marvel super-heroes and super-villains that transform into motorcycles, tanks and other vehicles.

DC Direct — Finally, Murlocs!
