PBS’ American Experience Documentary on Robert Ripley

Robert Ripley died long before I was born, but growing up in the 1970s I remember seeking out Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! cartoons and books. PBS’ American Experience has a fascinating look at this 20th century chronicle of the bizarre. If only there were a similar documentary about Charles Fort.

 

American Experience: The Deadliest Killer in Human History

Fascinating documentary from American Experience on tuberculosis in the United States which as the title notes is believed to be the deadliest disease in human history, and thanks to drug resistant strains was declared a global health emergency by the World Health Organization in 1993.
