I really like Del.icio.us, but have this aversion to hosting my data on other sites (though, to its credit Del.icio.us does make it easy to get your data in and out of its system). Enter Scuttle which is just an open source clone of Del.icio.us.
It requires PHP and MySQL but as long as you’ve got a server equipped with those, it is easy to install and configure. Like Del.icio.us, you can mark bookmarks as either public or private, add tags, get an RSS feed of your bookmarks, etc. It also comes with a nice Javascript bookmarklet so you can quickly bookmark sites while you’re browsing.
I’ve got my Scuttle install at http://brian.carnell.com/boomarks/
Hey man. Have you used scuttle very much? It looks like delicious is closing and I’d like to have a social bookmark site.
Thanks for sharing this, I checked Scuttle it looks like delicious, I can say it Delicious Clone. More importantly It has user friendly CMS that is why I may preferred it for use. Its nice that it has Open Source so we can make changes at programming level. Check here for more Website Clones including Delicious Clone: http://www.ncrypted.net/delicious-clone
