Lacie is selling a 1 terabyte external FireWire/USB hard drive unit. This is actually 2 or 3 hard drives that the computer sees as a single 1 TB drive (using RAID perhaps?)
Even with that caveat, it is so cool to see a (well, rich anyway) consumer-level product that reaches that high of a level of storage. There’s no pricing on the Lacie site yet, but I’d imagine that the drive will cost > $1,000.
