Animal Rights Activists Claim Poisoned Meat in Sweden

At the end of December a group calling itself the Animals’ Liberation Front sent a letter and a package of lamb to a Swedish news agency claiming the group had poisoned meat at nine supermarkets in Stockholm.

An anonymous phone call was also placed to the news agency saying, “We will not undertake any action that could physically injure people. But economically, we will injure them greatly.”

Right, because if the do not want to harm people, the first thing you’d probably want to run out and do would be to poison meat.

A similar threat was made against supermarkets in Uppsala — in both cases, no poisoned meat was found.
