WordPress Mini-Meta Widget Plugin
The Mini-Meta Widget plugin is, not surprisingly, a replacement for the Meta Widget that ships with WordPress. Among others things, the Mini-Meta Widget makes it possible to easily put the logon form in the sidebar itself (and then redirect to whatever page the user was on after logging on).

Man, ever little basic piece of function is a plugin? There’s a plugin to move the logon form to the sidebar? WTF next, a plugin to choose a different font?
Wordpress would annoy the crap out of me. I suspect.

Yes, WordPress definitely has a held-together-by-duct-tape feel to it.

Craziness. FYI thinks for the link to Unreason. I’ve been working on a redesign all week that hopefully will decrease the suck of the site.
