By Grabthar’s Hammer, Someone Needs to Make This Action Figure
My wife is totally in love with Alan Rickman, so when I showed her this Dr. Lazarus custom figure that Toyfare featured in their September 2008 issue I thought she was going to swoon. It turns out that IDW is going to be publishing a Galaxy Quest comic beginning in August. The figure, by the way, is done by Kyle Robinson who does some of the best custom figures I’ve ever seen.

Ah, but you failed to mention that I chortled in my joy. Swoon, indeed.
Hmmph. Watch it, Carnell — I know where you live.

This situation requires either flowers, sir, or a very comfortable couch.

Hot damn!
I have to watch Galaxy Quest again, because I missed about 25% of it. If you laugh hard enough, your eyes shut.
For me it’s a tossup whether Rickman looked more morose as Dr. Lazarus or as Eamonn de Valera.

I haven’t seen Michael Collins yet…surprised my wife hasn’t badgered me to do so. I’ve seen Galaxy Quest about 15 times (my kids love it). I wish they’d do a sequel, but I imagine they’ll never be able to get all those folks together at the same time again.
Personally, though, my favorite Rickman role is as Marvin in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Hi, I’m looking for that figure and been looking everywhere around, and anyone could help me out finding it ?
What is Toyfare ? Many many thanks =)

It is a custom figure by Kyle Robinson…i.e., it isn’t a real production toy, but a single figure that Robinson put together.
So, effectively, you can’t buy it. Maybe someday someone will come out with a real production set of GQ figures. That would certainly make my wife happy.
