Just over a month ago I noted the increasing decline in flash memory, specifically SD cards which I prefer due to their small size compared to compact flash.
Sandisk actually released their 2gb SD card in November as promised, and they’re already showing up online at $170-$180. Buy.Com, for example, has a 2gb card for $173.99.
The interesting thing there is that finally the price difference between SD and Compact Flash has been obliterated. It used to be that CF was bigger in size, but much cheaper. You can still find a 2 gb CF card for about $130 on the Internet, but that’s a major difference from the time when there was a 2x price differential.
Gotta love capitalism.
