  1. Collect the Entire “Enduring Freedom” Card Set

According to USA Today, Topps, the folks famous for their baseball cards, already have a 90-card “Enduring Freedom” trading card set out and in stores. The cards feature picutres and biographies of people like George W. Bush, Rudy Giuliani and Osama bin Laden. Ugh. As if the Topps “Desert Storm” set wasn’t bad enough.

  2. The Real Question About MSN

…is not, why is MSN blocking non-Microsoft browsers from accessing the site, but rather, who in their right mind would want to visit the MSN page? I thought my web sites were poorly designed, but the MSN home page is a disaster of information overload. Blocking browsers like Mozilla was probably done as a favor…

  3. Will Apple Cripple the IPod?

The Register has some interesting speculation about the iPod. Since the MP3 player uses Firewire, it can copy several gigabytes worth of MP3 files very quickly — but it could also transfer those files back to another computer just as quickly, making it ideal for people to use to copy and trade large numbers of…

  5. It’s Nice to Be Noticed

This has happened to me more than few times, but it still kind of floors me when I’m searching on Google or visiting a site for information on some topic and end up running across someone in turn citing something I’ve written. Back in May, for example, I caught journalist Robert Scheer in a little…

  6. Re: Apple — SELL!!!

Wired is strongly suggesting that this mystery device Apple will announce on Tuesday is going to be a hard-drive based portable MP3 player that uses Firewire (and/or 802.11b). Such a move would be complete insanity, which means Apple might actually announce such a product. If I had the money, I’d short Apple stock like crazy.

  7. Andrew Sullivan Disses Leon Harris

A few hours after the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine murdered Israel’s tourist minister, Leon Harris was on CNN interviewing a representativeof the PFLP to get “your side of the story” (as Harris told the PFLP’s Rabah Mihanna. Andrew Sullivan had an excellent retort to this on his weblog, This is disgusting. It’s…
